VICTORIA UNIVERSITY BUS SHELTER

Just down the road from the Living Pā redevelopment in Kelburn Parade and located in front of the Murphy Building is the bespoke designed Victoria University Bus Shelter. This iconic shelter building with its green roof planted in native sedums and grasses blends comfortably into its surrounding environment.

Sloping terrain and space constraints with proximity to surrounding buildings and footpath added to the complexity with this design and led to the unique three level terraced configuration.  Our proprietary shelter system was utilized in the walls of this primarily steel structure and a 75” visual display unit is housed in the departure wall.

In July 2024 Designbrand Limited was acquired by Metco Engineering and operations have now been integrated into the Metco facility in Lower Hutt, Wellington.
